ARLHO
The Australasian Register of Living History Organisations. http://www.arlho.net

The Society held its first meeting in 1986, in Ballarat. Ballarat is a 1850's Gold Rush town in the State of Victoria in southern Australia. The Society grew from small beginnings to now be one of the largest firearm collecting organizations in country Victoria.

We are one of six independent organizations in the State, all of whom having a firearm based collecting interest and in addition, the Society is also an approved shooting organization.

We hold monthly meetings, except in December and January

Our interests include the collection of Military and Sporting Longarms, Black Powder firearms, Collectable handguns, Edged Weapons & Knives, Ammunition and Ordinance, Badges, Medals, Uniforms, Maps, Books, Documents and General History.

The Society also assists members of the public with answers to questions relating to our collecting interests.
We also publish a bi-monthly newsletter, "Fusillade", that we distribute to our membership and to other companion organizations around Australia.

Our current restoration project is a WW1 150mm 1917 Krupp howitzer, rescued from the probability of being scrapped. Photos of the latest stage of the project will be pasted on this web site. Anybody who has a similar ongoing project is welcome to contact us and get information as we learn, or share their experiences, which will assist us.
