Battle for the Salvation of Humanity and the Earth
excerpts from Earth in Transition pertinent to Middle East crisis - May 2002.
Originally published January 2000Given the current dire circumstances on Earth, it seems appropriate to reiterate some of the astrological predictions made by Chandra Easton in her book Earth in Transition. It is important to understand that these predictions were made on the basis of intuitive meditation and astrological insights based around the Solar Eclipses and the movement of Jupiter and Saturn during the years 1998 - 2005. This information has no affiliation with any particular nation or cultur, but rather is an attempt to support humanity as a whole through the current transformational transition within which we find ourselves.
Entry into the Aquarian Age
Feb 1999 - Feb 2000The international body of the United Nations, which is governed in part by the sign of Aries, is currently undergoing massive restructuring from Hierarchical energies. Decisions made in the light of international peace and humanitarian aid are of prime concern and it is predicted that this body will undergo severe contraction as the root of separatism, power and corruption is pulled from its heart centre. (Solar Eclipse in Australia -heralding entry into the Aquarian Age)The sign of the Water-Bearer, Aquarius is noted for its humanitarian qualities and breadth of vision. Aquarians are concerned with group endeavour and the nurturing of group, community, international and global life. During these last days of the 20th century, very little of these qualities have been evidenced around the world. Primarily individuals and governments have been concerned with their personal or national interests. As members of the human race attempt to move into the Age of Aquarius, we must realise that we will not be able to do so unless we have developed group consciousness. The Age of Pisces is ending and with it must go our erroneous religious beliefs; our abdication of personal responsibility; and our primarily emotional response to life. In their stead we must build the qualities of care and concern for the group, group focus and group endeavour. We must strive to nurture and strengthen the Will-to-Good and seek to serve the good of the whole.
What does this mean in real terms? On an individual level it means that we can no longer separate ourselves from our neighbours - we are our brother's and sister's keepers. If we are not willing to take up the task of comradeship, and brothers/sisters-in-arms in times of peace and in times of diversity, then there is no place for us upon the Earth in the New Age of Aquarius.
On a national level it means that governments need to embrace all people within the community, nurturing and respecting all points of view, striving for harmonious, democratic government. Our leaders would do well to consider and put into place, policies which nurture and unite, rather than separate and destroy. On an international level this means that we can no longer afford to see ourselves in blocs or groups of allies or enemies. In truth, we must be the ally of each and every other nation on Earth. Failure to encompass this breadth of vision, as laid out in the original charters of the League of Nations and the United Nations, will inevitably result in the demise of society, as we have known it, upon this Earth.
On the world scene there are many organisations which work for the betterment of those which suffer. The only way that we can truly survive and prosper in the New Age of Maitreya, is to take into our hearts this new policy of inclusiveness. International bodies which fail to respond to this impulse of humanitarian inclusiveness will be systematically destroyed. Nowhere is it more important at the moment than on the world scene, where national interest and hatred dominate and threaten to further explode in many, many places around the globe. If the governments of the day are unable to respond to this impulse, then the ordinary people can be expected to take matters into their own hands. The trend towards globalisation has begun. Let us in truth become members of the global village, the family of mankind.
Global Economic Recession
August 1999 - Feb 2003In these times of great change the material world of many countries is inextricably tied to the International Money Market, the Stock Exchange. During this period of Great Transition, severe adjustments will continue to occur which will see a steady decline, and eventual collapse, of this backbone of the developed nations. Accordingly those nations who are able to readjust their national and foreign policies to adapt to the widespread economic collapse of the Stock Market will find the Transition easier to bear. Those countries whose very life and breath is geared to the money market will find themselves in a state of asphyxiation. Astrological trends indicate that the current Solar Eclipses in the sign of Leo the Lion and Aquarius the Water-Bearer, which continue during 1999 and 2000, will ensure the gradual demise of the International Money Market, during the Great Transition. Atlantic Ocean, Britain, Europe, Middle East, India, Pakistan, Bay of Bengal
Aug 1999 - Aug 2002This Eclipse, which is extremely potent because of its totality and its occurrence in the fixed fire sign of Leo, occurs in the 18th degree of Leo, conjunct the Fixed Stars of Merak and El Genubi. The conjunction to these two Fixed Stars has a number of significances. Merak, known as the pointer, is an indicator to astronomers and other seekers of the Pole Star. Its position is such that it points to the Pole Star, Polaris, which is one of the guiding Fixed Stars for this Age.
During the Great Transition the previous points of recognition within the Heavens will change. Initially, the heavens will appear to fall; then they will become blurred, and difficult to distinguish for some time. After this time, when a clearer picture can again be seen, it will be noted that Polaris no longer stands as a beacon in the Heavens for the North Pole.
The prominence of the Fixed Star Merak, at this time indicates that we are arriving at the Endtimes, when all fundamental frameworks for defining reality on Earth will be shifted. During the period of potency of this Eclipse, which will be August 1999 - 2001/2, all known parameters will be destroyed or removed.
The significance of the Fixed Star El Genubi indicates one of the possible paths for humanity during this period. El Genubi is known for its warrior energy. (Morse 1988) Humanity must choose either the upward path of spiritual warriorship or the downward path of physical war. All nations and all people will face, in some way or another, this choice. The future of not only individuals or nations, but even humanity as a whole is dependent upon the choices made globally, with regard to warriorship. During the twelve month period from August 1999 until August 2000 these choices will be made. It behoves all who love life and love the Christ to choose wisely. As we attempt to translate these prophecies into modern understanding, a few factors appear prominent. Trouble for Kings, Princes and great men could be translated to mean that difficulties lie ahead for all major world leaders. Discontent and dissension among the people, with the movements of armies and much fighting may be interpreted in the modern times to be the continuous outbreaks of war which trouble humanity. Across the face of the Earth, war erupts like a blemish which casts a shadow across a region, a nation and even threatens to engulf a continent.

On the day during which many of the western world's population celebrates the birth of Christ, a Solar Eclipse of considerable significance occurs. Falling in the sign of initiation, Capricorn, it heralds momentous changes for much of the population.As previously mentioned the Cancer/Capricorn Axis is associated with the passing into and the passing out of incarnation, as well as heralding movement according to the development of soul consciousness. During this Eclipse, and for a considerable period of time afterwards, those souls who are ready to undertake the process known as Initiation will be presented by the appropriate Masters upon the inner planes to the Lord Christ. (Bailey, 1982) The birth of the Christ in the Cave of the Heart marks the movement of the aspirant towards the Path of Discipleship, through the portal of the First Initiation. (Bailey 1983) From this time onwards those souls which have reached the required degree will join the ranks of disciples who live and breathe and die in service of the Lord Maitreya, Who is the head of the Occult Hierarchy. From this time onwards the door to the inner spiritual realms stands wide.
Those who would seek to align themselves with the Forces of Righteousness will be more freely admitted than at any other time in the history of humanity's evolution upon this Earth.
At the same time the door to other realms, through the Portal of Cancer, also stands wide for those souls who are not as yet ready, or willing, to make the sacrifices required in order to become a disciple of the Lord Christ. The choice is clear. From this time onwards the demarcation of The Way into - the Way of the Heart, the right hand path; and the Way of the Mind, the left-hand path, will become more clearly segregated. Only those who have sworn allegiance to the Lord Christ/Bodhisattva will be permitted upon the Path which leads to the Way of the Heart after a pre-determined time has elapsed following this momentous Eclipse. Global Impact
Saturn in Gemini
(10th August 2000 - 17th October 2000
and 20th April 2001 - 4th June 2003)Momentous changes will begin to grip the Earth as Saturn, the planet of Justice and Redemption, moves into the sign of the Twins. During this period of Earth's history the Dark and the Light within humanity will face each other. From different opposing camps humanity's Dweller on the Threshold - the sum total of all that is evil; will face the Angel of the Presence - the sum total of all that is good. The battle lines will be drawn - the fight unto death will commence. During this period of humanity's history some of the bloodiest, darkest moments will emerge.
In the battle for the Earth which will commence during this period, the Forces of Righteousness shall align themselves behind the vanguard which will be led by the Avatar of Synthesis, the Archangel Michael and the Lord Maitreya Who is the Lord Christ, the fifth and future Buddha of Earth. Behind this vanguard will be ranged those who are True to the Lord Christ. Humanity's die will be cast. Similarly the Forces of Darkness will be ranged behind their Leaders with all those of humanity who have chosen to serve the little self and thus the Forces of Negativity. Using the timing formulae of the Decans, this period may be divided thus:-

During these timeframes initial impulses will be undertaken. As in any military campaign, a Plan exists and certain Generals and Chiefs of Staff oversee the execution of the Plan. So it is with the Spiritual Hierarchy's governorship of those Children of the Heart who have chosen the Path of Light. The Earth will be divided into seven groupings, each one under the auspices and protection of a certain member of the Brotherhood of Light. Within these seven broad arenas protection, comfort, food shelter and encirclement will be afforded.As in any battle certain key positions will be held as boundary perimeters, from which the Forces of Negativity will be rebuffed. Certain areas of terrain, oceans, mountains, seas and plains will be relinquished during this Battle for the Salvation of Humanity and the Earth. Mother Earth will guard and protect Her Children. The power of Heaven will be ranged upon the side of the Forces of Righteousness.
Mighty winds, storms, tempests, floods, famine, upheaval and cataclysm will occur during the totality of this Battle. During the initiating impulses the Children of the Heart will be gathered under the protection of certain Ashrams, Masters and Arhats who are loyal to the Christ. From within these spheres of safety the Children of the Heart will be protected, comforted, guided and nourished whilst the Battle rages upon the outer perimeters of these Safety Zones. Key lands will act as buffers; oceans will do the bidding of the Avatar of Will, the Christ and His Hierarchy; Heaven's power will fall upon the brow of those Children of the Mind who seek to do the bidding of the Forces of Darkness.
Three impulses occur during the years - 2000; 2001; and 2001 - 2002 - within this initiating phase. During these three impulses certain key victories will occur, which will come to shape the future of life on Earth for the Children of the Heart in years and centuries to come. The Children of the Heart number in their millions and are those people who come from all over the whole Earth, from all cultures, races and paths, in response to Maitreya's call. Many of these people have never heard of the Bodhisattva, the Lord Maitreya, the Lord of Love, yet they feel called to respond to the world crisis, through loving service to humanity and the Earth. For the moment rest assured that the Plan is seen, known and held in the Heart and Mind of the Eternal Watcher. Whilst humanity are swept upon the tide of their own making, nevertheless they are never forgotten. They are always watched over by Beings of great Love and Radiance during these darkening days of the Great Transition.

(Consolidating Phase Second Decan 11 - 20 degrees p. 129)During this critical phase man's inhumanity to man will reach its crescendo. The Forces of Righteousness will be ranged against the Forces of Darkness in close combat across the entire globe. It will be during this time frame that the greatest destruction of Earth known to humankind will occur.
The Children of the Heart will be guarded and protected by the Forces of Righteousness, aided and greatly assisted by Emissaries from other Galaxies of Deep Space. During this momentous period of Earth's history, never before seen or recorded events will occur. Suffice it to say that some of the direst predictions and prophecies which have been made will come to fruition during this period. The Forces of Light will demonstrate victory upon all three planes of matter, the physical, emotional and mental. From this period onwards revelations great and small will occur.
United States of America
Feb 1998 - Dec 2003The United States of America was affected by a Partial Solar Eclipse and is therefore liable to continued inundation of its Eastern seaboard. The USA has a responsibility to govern not only its own people well and judiciously, but also to lend a neighbourly hand when trouble strikes. Instead, the USA has tended to gauge all aid given according to political and economic benefit, rather than from a humanitarian impulse. This is one of the major failings of this nation. The tendency to sit smugly within its own domain, handing out decisions which affect the lives of millions upon millions of people in various parts of the world, can no longer be sanctioned. If humanity is to move into the Age of Aquarius, then it is necessary that the world community unites upon common humanitarian principles. It is not enough to merely mouth the worlds of uni-lateral co-operation and negotiation, if the true motive is one of national interest. To the extent that the USA is able to free itself of its all consuming national interest, is the extent to which sections of its people and lands will be spared. New York - City and State
June 1999 - June 2003The state of New York and New York city are both governed by the sign of Taurus (and Gemini). New York city, one of the most densely populated cities, of not only America, but also the world, will be substantially destroyed, not once, but twice. Initially this will occur through a titanic wall of water which will descend with great fury upon this unfortunate city. The people of this region have, by and large, forsaken the heart. Because of this forsaking of the essence of life, the essence of life will be taken from them. In the second wave of destruction the remaining survivors, of whom there will be few, will be destroyed by disease. This city, which has been seen to reach great heights according to current world standards, has also reached some of the greatest depths of human degradation. Through the cleansing which will be afforded this state, and neighbouring states, the American people will come to learn of the power of God, which surpasses the power of the dollar. West Coast of Canada and America
Europe, Middle East, East Africa
July 2000 - July 2003Given that this Eclipse impacts Western Canada and the West Coast of the United States of America through both its Path of Umbra and by virtue of governing these Leo ruled regions, it places the North American continent very much in the spotlight after July 2000.
Ptolemy's prophecies speak of the "destruction of cattle and sheep and the scarcity of corn and fruits of the Earth." Therefore it could be speculated that viral contamination of the food chain and the failure of basic crops could bring grave hardship to the people of North America, bringing about "much discontent and dissension." It could also be speculated that severe drought in these regions could lead to the spread of bushfires during the Summer months of 2000 and beyond. The worrying trend of escalating violence within the U.S.A. or America involved in war with Europe or the Middle East, or both at the same time as such an agricultural, economic or social crisis cannot be underestimated.
Note also that much of Europe is governed by the sign of Leo and similar shortages of food, combined with the possibility of ongoing war in Europe could all bring about great "discontent and dissension among the people". The danger of escalating tensions involving Central Europe or the Middle East (Leo ruled) spreading to the whole of Europe is very grave. Other possibilities are the continuing spread of violence, food shortage and pestilence in East Africa, a country also ruled by Leo.
As regards the warnings pertaining to the "death of some famous prince or murder of some king", it is worth remembering that a large percentage of the Presidents of the United States of America have been assassinated in the past. Similarly, Heads of State in the Middle East and Europe could easily become targets of violence, should tensions continue to build in these trouble spots.
However you chose to interpret these ancient prophecies, it is sobering to consider that the Middle East, Europe and North America are all implicated astrologically simultaneously in upheavals of such proportion.

Great Britain
Feb 1999 - Aug 2002
Great Britain will ride, like a mighty ship upon troubled waters, atop the havoc which will slowly surround these majestic islands. Due to the largely conciliatory nature of the current governments, as well as the resolution of past karma, Great Britain will escape, to a large degree, the major upheaval of the next few years. However, its position within the money market of Europe is crucial as a stabilising factor. The future of these majestic islands is assured to a certain extent, yet internal troubles within and between the member countries need to continue to be dealt with in an inclusive, harmonious, respectful manner.The member nations of Great Britain, England and Wales will continue to receive protection through the Heart of the Lord Christ, for the most past of 1999 and 2000. After these years changes on a large scale will begin to occur in these regions.
England is a nation of considerable age and evolutionary development. At this point in time it is necessary that the English people and her government demonstrate compassionate wise government. They are needed as an anchor in the increasingly chaotic Europe. Whether or not England is able to rise to this task remains to be seen, yet all signs are hopeful.
Wales is a small country whose national identity is strong and unique and has withstood the test of time and invasion. In the interests of the common good, the Welsh people need to open their hearts and borders to people from other nations and places. Welsh citizenship is not easily gained, nor renounced. The Welsh people have to learn to see themselves in the global context if they wish to survive. (p 62 - 63)
Afghanistan
Feb 1999 - Dec 2003Afghanistan is a country governed by Aquarius and Capricorn which sits atop the Himalayan plateau, looking far and wide over its neighbours, Pakistan and India. Afghanistan as a whole, has a troubled past and a difficult future. The people of these remote mountains have been for centuries, wandering shepherds. In the current political situation in Afghanistan, the ordinary people have been made to suffer for the greed and the power of the few. The power within Afghanistan lies within its lofty isolation. If the Afghanistan people in positions of power had chosen to use this elevation and remoteness to their advantage they could have cultivated a lifestyle of simplicity, rural subsistence and peaceful community life. Instead the common people have been exploited in many, many ways. The society in all its richness has been devalued and destroyed. In 1998 Afghanistan suffered much as a result of two massive earthquakes in this country. "In all an estimated 7,200 people were killed and 192,000 people were affected by this disaster." Middle East Region
Feb 1998 - 2003
Another of the Piscean ruled regions of the world which was severely impacted in 1998 was Middle East. The Middle East is a region which harbours great racial tension and ancient hatred. There remain but a few short years left in which the various nations and races of this region can seek and find a peaceful method of co-existence. If this cannot be found in the next 2/3 years, (written Winter 1999) mayhem of the greatest order will descend upon this unfortunate part of the globe. Certain leaders have attempted to lead their countries towards the Way of the Heart, whilst others merely jostle and pose for political and economic power and security. There will be no peace or security in the Middle East until all groups/nations learns to live in tolerant co-existence with their neighbours, who are in truth their brother and sisters. Currently the Middle East, notably Iran, Iraq and Palestine, leads the world in the number of refugees and asylum seekers. In 1998 alone a staggering 4,384,00 people were, according to the United States Committee for Refugees, (www.refugees org) displaced from their country of origin as a result of persecution or armed conflict. Saudi Arabia
Feb 1999 - Feb 2003Saudi Arabia is a nation which survives amidst the most dangerous politics of the Middle East and also amidst the most arid of desert conditions. The Bedouins who make up these people are the Arabs who will survive the current and future difficulties of the region. Those Arabs who live within the cities and upon the waterways will find that life as they have known it is radically changed. The Arabian people have a history of survival which is very ancient. Palestine
August 1998 - June 2003
Palestine is a region fraught with age-old enmity and hatred which has been nursed from generation to generation. This is extremely difficult to rout. The Palestinian people need to learn the lesson of forgiveness, if they are to continue as a race. The precious lands over which they squabble, will rise up against them in great ferocity. It is up to the ordinary Palestinians on the street, to forgive and forget. Without such reparation, future peace for this region is but a dream. Israel
Feb 1999 - June 2003Israel faces grave choices over the next eighteen months which will determine its long term security. Sectarian violence and all attempts to separate and divide the Middle East through nationalistic policies will result in further bloodshed. Much hangs in the balance within this nation, dependent upon the people's choice of leadership. Suffice it to say that the safety of this region is held in the hands of the people on the street. Should these common people decide to sustain the ancestral warfare which plagues this region, then devastation of the greatest order will occur. The people of this region need to bury the sword; kiss the sword in peace and forgiveness and unite in brother/sisterhood. Such is the choice afforded the entire Middle East - unite or perish.
Syria
Feb 1999 - June 2003
Syria is a nation caught within the web of Middle East politics. Its dharma presupposes the role of mediator and peace-keeper within this volatile region. Any attempts to play off one country against another, for the gain of Syria, will be met with swift consequences in one form or another. Syrian politics, or any attempts by the Syrian government to use their position within this region as a lever for political power will bring calamity upon the heads of this nation. The art and skill of diplomacy and negotiation presupposes a lack of attachment to nationalistic outcomes. This is the only way that peace may be achieved in the Middle East. Iran
Feb 1999 - June 2003Iran stands upon the brink of disaster as a result of its humanitarian, religious and political leanings. Whilst calling for the support of the Western nations as allies, it nevertheless continues to denigrate and subjugate its people, in accordance with its traditional, often fanatical, values. Such a path of repression cannot continue into the New Age of Aquarius. Unless radical reform occurs within this country, severe geo-physical and political ramifications are foreseen. (p. 67)
Iraq
Feb 1999 - June 2003The country of Iraq suffers under one of the most repressive regimes in the world. The people of this region suffer largely in silence due to deprivation of basic freedoms of speech, religion and democracy. To date this region has come under full scale attack from the Western Allies who have attempted to maintain control in this region, thus maintaining control of the wealth of this country, oil. All forms of repression, by whatever forces, be they Western Allies or despotic leaders have no place in the world of the future. It is the voice of the common people of Iraq which has not yet been heard. Until the yoke which is placed upon their shoulders is felt to be of sufficient burden, these people will not revolt.
The will of the people has been severely hampered by the struggle between the West and Iraq over control of oil. The threat which this nation poses both by way of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons is great yet, liberation is not truly liberation if the masses are more severely hampered by such liberation than by the despotic rulership under which they live. Arab Nations
June 2000 - June 2003The United Arab people includes many nations united under the one umbrella of faith and devotion towards Allah. These people view the world through their faith and a vision which encompasses the spread of their religion to the far corners of the globe. Many of these people seek to wrest the power from the Western world and place it firmly in the hands of the followers of Islam. The fervency and devotion to the overthrowing of the infidels has risen to fever pitch amongst some Arab nations. Many of these people feel that they can no longer stand by and watch the world desecrated and destroyed by the Western World. Therefore there is currently great unity within some Arab peoples in the cause of the Holy Jihad. To pursue a Holy War of such proportions is to plunge many parts of the world into the greatest violence and terrorism. We could well do without such a menace, yet menace it is and by all accounts the followers of Allah intend to purge the world of Infidels. (p. 152)
Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorist Groups
August 2000 - June 2003A loose coalition of Islamic Terrorist Groups operates throughout many parts of the world with the specific intention of driving enemies of Islam off the soil of their Holy Lands. During the 1980's and 1990's a campaign of terror has accelerated, involving more than 20 countries including Africa, Afghanistan, the Middle East and America, led by the Saudi Arabian leader Osam Ben Laden. (SBS 1999) Separation and fear drives this war between the East and the West, with governments of the Western world continuing to take action to protect their interests and citizens. The fear of technological and biological invasion flourishes on both sides in such an atmosphere of hatred and repression as has been created. If we take up arms against our brothers then the Earth will intervene in the name of Cosmic Justice. The nuclear threat, as well as the weapons of germ and biological destruction are very real and must be stopped before they commence. If the key players of the united Arab world continue to wield the Sword of Sorrow then great doom will come upon the Middle East and other parts of the planet. Northern Sudan
Feb 1999 -
Northern Sudan is a region caught within the crossfire of Middle East politics. Its challenge is to remain neutral and anchored in diplomatic reason and common sense. Forces will attempt to sway this country into an extreme political stance. Sudan needs to realise that strength lies through unity, right decision and right motive. (p. 66)
In conclusion it seems that we on Earth have been put on notice and if we wish to avoid the catastrophic possibilities which lie ahead then clearly we must choose to align ourselves with the Forces of Light before June 2003 at the very latest. What is required is the stimulation of courage, faith and hope in the innate goodness of humanity to win out over the shadow of selfishness which threatens to destroy our planet and our species. Hope
"However hopeless a situation may seem, we must bring the energy of hope into it. For hope is a healer and a preserver. Hope can accomplish miracles. Never must we take hope away from any person, however seemingly impossible a condition appears to be. Is not the White Tara a Lady of Hope? Is not the Archangel Hope helping all who will to hope? Is not the Lord Christ a Master of hope?
I find that hope as an energy and quality keeps the world going and keeps the mind sound and clear.
The world situation looks scary, but we know that a time of transition is upon us now. All transitions can be scary, but knowing that transitions lead to new beginnings and that great joy always follows new beginnings, we must bring the energy of hope into this transition.
It is a time of sacrifice - sacrifice of self to bring about this new beginning. We stand on the threshold of the Age of the Heart. The inner self is ready to unfold as petals of a rose unfold when the sunlight shines upon it. In this case the sunlight is the Lord Maitreya, Who, as a mighty sun, radiates within the Earth and shines upon every heart of every inner self.

And the Avatar of the Heart, the long awaited One, stands ready with the Avatar of Will at His left side, and the crowned King of the Seventh Ray at His right side.A new millennium is dawning. The Hierarchy, the strongest group unit for love and peace, have assembled in the City of Gold - Shamballa, and the Lord Jesus, the Lord of the New Jerusalem, and the Holy Mother are in constant prayer as the separation of humanity takes place. There is so much to live for.
Soon the footsteps of the new saints shall sound as they walk on our roads - they are the first guards to herald the coming of the Hierarchy, as Lord after Lord, Lady after Lady, take physical embodiment to bring the world from the brink of disaster to a world of peace and higher consciousness."
