| Daylesford
Aged Care provides for high and low level permanent care
residents in spacious single and twin bedroom accommodation.
There are Dining, Lounge and Sitting Rooms available for
residents to enjoy with their visitors.
Admission (permanent)
All residents are to have a current Aged Care Assessment
prior to entry to the Hostel (low level) or Nursing Home
(high level). There is a waiting list for both.
Admission (respite)
There is one low level respite room available for
residents with current Aged Care Assessment. Bookings
available.
Activities
Activities for residents include crafts, gardening, music, outings,
games, current affairs and Special Days.
Community groups regularly visit.
Religious needs can easily be accommodated.
Fees
The fees are determined by the Commonwealth Department of Health
and Ageing. Invoices are raised
monthly for all fees. An Agreement will be entered into within
seven days of entry which covers all aspects of care and
services and the charges involved.
Laundry Service
Personal laundry services are provided for all residents.
Medical Care
Residents or their representative are able to select the
General Practitioner of their
choice, preferably one that is readily able to visit the
facility. The Nurse Unit Manager will assist in the selection
process if required.
Personal Services
Daily newspaper delivery, prescriptions and hairdressing can
be arranged (at resident's expense).
Specialist Services
Access to physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetics, dentistry,
optometry, audiology, etc. can all be arranged if required.
Visiting
Relatives and friends are encouraged to visit at any time.
Tea and coffee facilities are available.
