NEW: Alive in Grampians - Gariwerd
CD $22
Eight new songs written for and with the Grampians community in Victoria, following the devastating bushfires in January 2006. Songs include joyful celebrations of the mountains and district, (Anthem and Heartbeat Heard), stories of the indigenous land-owners (Fields of Myrnong) and early settlers (Quarry song), and two powerful songs telling the drama of the fire (Wildfire 2006) and the sweet signs of recovery (Out of the Ashes). In addition there are two songs for children, the Gariwerd Hiking Song and Green Things Growing.
The words of Green Things Growing were written in 1926 by a (then) 12 year-old Myrtle Pickering who is still alive and well in her nineties, and living in the district.
Sung by Fay White and the Gariwerd choir, a must for any community who has similarly suffered bushfire.

Now on CD with 6 extra songs, it is a wonderful tool for teachers and
parents wanting to encourage interest and positive attitudes in children
who will be the Landcarers of the future.

picture of the earth in space and eco-systems as a whole.
