Welcome to all who stumble over this site

I love growing tomatoes. In the past few years I have entered into the realm of heirloom and open pollinated varieties. I started with a few varieties that I found at Diggers seed company down here in southern Oz. Mortgage Lifter and Tigerella were a couple of the first and were mildly successful. Then in 2002 I joined GardenWeb and it wasn't until 2003 or 4 that I stumbled on the tomato forum on the US site and the rest as they say is history. I am now a fully qualified tomatophile and certifiable nutter.

I now start all my plants from seed that have been sourced from the US and from many good friends on the web. I also have a large stash of saved seed.

 Sample from Last Season

In the last 4-5 years I have grown hundreds of different varieties in all different colours, sizes, plant habits etc. I have some that I will grow every year, but will always have some spots for new ones.

As you can see, last season I didnt have any black tomatoes. This year I will make amends for that and have 5 or 6 different black types sown. The yellow pear looking fruit in the photo are actually Yellow Submarines, a potato leaf variation of yellow pear and it actually tastes good, unlike yellow pear.
